Bank Statement Converter - PDF to CSV
Bank and card statements are usually PDFs, and bookkeeping wants rows. Upload a statement you are allowed to process and download CSV or Excel with the transactions the model could read. Check every balance. A misread date or a merged description will throw a reconciliation off. Conversion uses 1 credit per page. New accounts include a free trial allowance (3 credits by default).
How to use the Bank Statement Converter - PDF to CSV
- Export the statement as PDF. Use the PDF from your bank. A photo of a screen is a worse source than the original file. Unlock it first if a password you know is required.
- Upload and convert. The document is processed so tables can be turned into rows. Multi-page statements spend one credit per page.
- Reconcile before you import. Match the opening balance, closing balance, and a few middle rows to the PDF. Fix descriptions that ran together, then import into your sheet or accounting tool.
When it helps
- Monthly bookkeeping. Get a CSV you can sort and categorize instead of retyping a statement.
- Credit card bills. The same flow works for card statements that are tabular PDFs, not only current-account statements.
Common questions
How much does a statement cost?
1 credit per page. A 6-page statement costs 6 credits. New accounts include a free trial allowance of 3 credits by default, which covers a short statement, not a long one.
Will the numbers be perfect?
No. Always reconcile totals. Scanned statements, multi-currency layouts, and running balances are where errors show up.
Is this the same as the PDF extractor?
This converter is built for statement tables and spreadsheet output. The PDF extractor is for custom schemas such as invoices and resumes.
Can I convert a statement I do not have the password for?
No. Unlock it only with a password you already have and only if you are allowed to, then convert the opened file.
Do you connect to my bank?
No. You upload a PDF you already downloaded. Toolzy does not log in to your bank.
