Excel Sheet Formula Bot
Describe the calculation in ordinary language and the bot proposes an Excel, Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers formula plus a short explanation. It is a drafting aid. Check cell references against your sheet before you rely on the number, especially for money. Each generation uses Toolzy credits. New accounts include a free trial allowance (3 credits by default).
How to use the Excel Sheet Formula Bot
- Say which spreadsheet you use. Excel, Google Sheets, and Numbers are close but not identical. Pick the target so the function names match.
- Describe the data and the result. Mention column letters or header names, the conditions, and what should happen when a cell is blank.
- Paste into a spare cell and test. Try a row where you already know the answer. If the formula errors, adjust the prompt with the real headers and generate again.
When it helps
- Lookups you do not write often. Get a first draft of XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, or a conditional sum without hunting through docs.
- Explaining a formula to someone else. Use the written explanation in a ticket so the next person knows what the cell is doing.
Common questions
Does this read my spreadsheet file?
No. It only sees the description you type. It cannot know that column C is empty unless you say so.
How much does a generation cost?
One credit per generation on the web and through MCP. New accounts start with a free trial allowance of 3 credits by default. Extra credits are on the pricing page.
Can I trust the formula for a tax or payroll sheet?
Not without checking it. Compare the result to a hand calculation on a few rows, including blanks and zeros.
Why did Google Sheets reject an Excel function?
The function may be Excel-only. Set the target to Google Sheets and generate again.
Is the formula stored?
The request is sent so the model can answer. Do not include customer lists or secrets in the prompt.
