Markdown to HTML Transformer
Loading tool…
Markdown is the source format for most docs and READMEs. This converter turns headings, lists, links, and fenced code into HTML you can paste into a CMS or an email that does not render Markdown. It does not run a full documentation site: no plugins, no custom shortcodes.
How to use the Markdown to HTML Transformer
- Paste Markdown. Standard CommonMark-style text works best. MDX components and import lines are not executed.
- Convert to HTML. Review the tags. A heading you wrote as # becomes an h1, which may clash if the destination page already has one.
- Sanitize before you publish. If the Markdown came from a user, sanitize the HTML before inserting it into your site. This tool does not add a content-security policy.
When it helps
- CMS fields that want HTML. Draft in Markdown, convert, and paste into a legacy editor that stores HTML.
- Email snippets. Turn a short release note into simple HTML. Inline styles are still your job if the client strips classes.
Common questions
Will React components in MDX render?
No. Only Markdown syntax is converted. JSX tags are not compiled.
Are scripts in the Markdown executed?
Do not paste untrusted Markdown and then drop the HTML into a page without sanitizing it. Raw HTML inside Markdown can include tags you do not want.
Can I get a full HTML document?
You get the fragment for the content you pasted, not a styled page with <html> and CSS.
Does it upload the draft?
No. Conversion runs locally.
