Camelcase Converter
Identifier style is a team convention, not a runtime feature. Paste a label and convert it to camelCase, snake_case, PascalCase, CONSTANT_CASE, dot.case, path/case, or Capital Case. The tool splits on spaces, hyphens, and underscores. It will not infer English word boundaries inside an already concatenated name.
How to use the Camelcase Converter
- Paste one name or a list. Each line is converted on its own, which is useful when you are renaming a batch of fields.
- Pick the target case. Choose from the dropdown. camelCase lowercases the first word. PascalCase capitalizes it. CONSTANT_CASE is uppercase with underscores.
- Copy the identifiers. Check acronyms. A string like API response may become apiResponse, which you might want to adjust by hand.
When it helps
- API field names. Turn a spreadsheet of human labels into JSON keys before you write the schema.
- Matching a style guide. Move a Python snake_case helper to a TypeScript camelCase name without retyping it.
Common questions
Will it split getHTTPResponse correctly?
Only if the input already has separators. getHTTPResponse stays one word. Type get HTTP response if you want getHttpResponse.
Which cases are supported?
Camel case, snake case, Pascal case, capital case, dot case, constant case, and path case.
Does it rename files on disk?
No. It only rewrites the text in the editor. You still rename the file in your project.
Why did numbers stick to the previous word?
Digits are not treated as a new word boundary in every pattern. Scan names like address2line before you commit them.
